All plants are grown by us and propagated in house 100% PEAT FREE!

 

We have now closed the nursery to the public to focus our efforts on mail order and the events we attend throughout the year! 

 

In 2018 we took over Seagate Irises, a specialist Nursery created in 2000 to offer many hundreds of bearded iris varieties. 

Over the winter of 2019/2020 we made the decision to change the name to Seagate Nurseries to reflect our ever growing variety of choice perennials. Now we are as well known for producing quality peat-free perennial plants as we are for our Iris selection. 

 

We are a 'young' family run business and are passionate about growing quality plants particularly unusual varieties that aren't seen so often. 

We offer the best and our largest selection of bearded irises as bareroot plants on the 1st August, this helps us offer more variety than in pots and reduces our use of plastic and compost too

 

Each season we will offer bareroot iris in August and the perennials are for sale by mail order throughout the season! 

 

Where potted irises were offered at the nursery previously, these will be available online once rooted through winter into spring. 

 

We only use peat free compost on the nursery and grow all of our own plants from division, cuttings and seeds right through to the plants we sell.

This means that not all plants are available all the time due to the nature of growing them all ourselves and we do our best to offer plants at a time best suited for the safe transport of the plants too.
