  • About Us | Seagate Nurseries

About Us In 2018 we took over Seagate Irises, a specialist Nursery created in 2000 to offer many hundreds of Iris varieties. Over the winter of 2019/2020 we made the decision to change the name to Seagate Nurseries to reflect our ever growing variety of choice perennials. We are a 'young' family run business and are passionate about growing quality plants particularly unusual varieties that aren't seen so often. With this in mind the heart of the nursery remains the collection of bearded Iris. We have also introduced new varieties with a view to offer most by mail order soon. For anyone looking for a particular variety or style please do not hesitate to contact us. As the Nursery continues to grow each season we will offer more bareroot Iris and some other perennials for sale by mail order or collection in an effort to reduce the quantity of plastic packaging used such as pots. We only use peat free compost on the Nursery and hope in time we can become 100% peat free across all our ranges. The Nursery is open to the public from Mid March until the end of September. 10am - 5pm Monday to Saturday 10am - 4pm Sunday Please do not hesitate to visit us in flowering season to see the flowers up close in our stock beds. We also have a wide range of choice perennial plants and potted Iris for sale throughout the season. Iris flowering season starts with the Dwarf Bearded varieties in late March and continues through to the Tall Bearded varieties in late May/early June. If you would like to speak to Chris or Kate, please see our contact pa ge. Perennial plants being added to the sales area daily!
